Is the powerpoint for Dr. Oppenheimer’s “Approach to Shortness of Breath” lecture available somewhere?

    • Katie Says:

Sorry for the late response. Dr. Oppenheimer’s lectures are posted on ALEX >> Bedside Diagnosis >> Workshop Information, 09-10 and then under whatever week the lecture pertains to. The one about shortness of breath is under the Week of January 19th.

where is the video for today’s lecture?? I also can’t find the lecture slides?? It’s really hard to study when there’s a scheduling mistake on ALEX (it used to say 9:30 and changed to 9:00 without any notice) that makes you miss class and then there’s no video or powerpoint! (there’s audio, but with no powerpoint it makes it impossible to follow along)

please email directors/whoever to fix this before the weekend so we can be prepared for next week!

Apparently it was a chalk-talk, so it looks like we’ll just have to deal with only having audio, unfortunately.

We are working with Dr. Oppenheimer to post the slides from his lecture which should (hopefully) make things clearer when listening to the lecture.

For approximately the first half of the lecture, he was using the chalkboard and not using any slides so unfortunately, it might be too helpful for that part. As mentioned above, because the chalkboard part was first, it seems that this is why there is no video for the lecture.

From being in the lecture, I can tell you that he really did not write much on the board, and listening to that section would be similar to actually being there. The powerpoint section included the main points of his lecture, which is why we will get this posted.

There is a strange scheduling problem the week of November 15th. I am in Group B (meets Tuesday afternoons) for IBD and Group B for PPS (OSCE Friday afternoon). However I am ALSO scheduled for a PPS seminar on Tuesday afternoon. What gives?

    • Katie Says:

Hi – can you email me (Katie) directly so that I know who this is? Then we can involve the PPS course liaisons too and figure out what happened. Sounds like they made a mistake scheduling you for a PPS group. Thanks for noticing this early so that we can get it fixed.
